Introduction: A New Chapter Begins
I’ve joined Substack with the intention of holding myself accountable while on my journey to publish a book. While faith-based, it won’t be based in religion. We know the difference. While memory is often a jungle of bias and ego, I’ll balance this with the line of thought that I’ve always tried to maintain, regardless of how life was.
The Vision
I’m interested in becoming a writer and, really, sharing thoughts in a book called I wont tell you, yet. This book will contain anecdotes, song lyrics and my musings of them, and ideas that have helped me think for myself. The benefit being that I’ve done what I’ve set out to do, and a fringe-benefit will be that it has helped someone realize their own worth.
Why?
Pride. I want to be proud of my accomplishments and where’ve I come from. The things I’ve seen, done, been and won’t be, deciding naturally to pursue a dream of my own creation. Blog to grant access, take a mental dump; to engage and propel.
The Start of Anything
Starting anything, it’s hard, innit? I’ve done many, many different things in my life (even if the only PC game I played as a teenager was Diablo II) and want to reconnect with the idea that anything can be done. It’s also usually the hard part and cements a will to move forward - starting. With that said, gaining traction with the idea of taking the first step was my ambition for this post.
